Our Wild Caught New Zealand Mussels on the Hal-Shell are hand-picked and selected mostly off the coast of Kerala. Green Mussels are high in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin A, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Magnesium, and Potassium.
"On the Half-Shell" means that the top shell is removed and the mussel meat is kept in tact on the bottom shell. This equals less wastage and higher yield per rupee for you
New Zealand Green Mussels are best steamed with salt and some lemon in the water. Eat straight from the shell or remove the meat and add to: pasta, salad, or as a side to a main course.
Dining Tip: steam or boil a bowlful of mussels with salt, lemon, garlic, and butter and eat with some freshly fried french fries or sweet potato fries for a nice meal!
Do not eat mussels that remained closed after cooking. Make sure mussels fully open before consuming or removing the mussel meat.
