    Each maki roll kit includes:

    -150 grams of sushi grade Yellowtail Hamachi

    -2x Nori Sheets

    -150 grams raw sushi rice


    -soy sauce

    -sushi rice vinegar


    1. Combine Japanese 150 grams of raw sushi rice with 450ml water in a rice cooker. Leave to cook for 25 minutes. Gently mix in 50 ml sushi vinegar in the rice after done cooking. Set aside for 10 minutes to cool off and cover.

    *You can use a saucepan on a low flame to cook the rice. Lower the heat just under a boil until the rice is tender and all the water has been absorbed.

    2. Maki roll preparation (use sushi rolling mat covered with cling wrap or any flat non-stick flexible surface - sushi rolling mat is best and available on Amazon or Flipkart) -> Place 1x nori sheet on the flat, flexible surface and place 150 grams of cooked rice on top.

    3. Keep the bamboo mat in front of you with the struts lying parallel to the edge of the work surface. Place 1x nori sheet on top with the long side in line with the struts. Using damp fingers, flatten the rice by patting it out with your finger tips, leaving 1-1.5 cm of bare space at the top of the sheet furthest away from you. This will overlap to create a seal for the roll. The layer of rice should be 0.5 cm thick. It can be thicker but then it will require more cooked sushi rice.

    4. Add the raw Yellowtail Hamachi in a straight line on top of the rice in the middle & left the bottom corner of the nori sheet fold. Roll until it is tight as possible. Slice in to as many pieces as you like and serve!
